Tips for Acne Skin
Acne Skin Tip 1
Don't pop your pimples as this can further increase the number of
pimples you have. Also, popping pimples can leave scars on your face.
Acne Skin Tip 2
Try not to touch your face with your hands. Your hands contain lots of
oil and dirt, and this can easily irritate your face and encourage acne.
Acne Skin Tip 3
Stay away from face creams, sunblocks and foundations that can clog
your skin. The ones that are "non-comedogenic" mean they won't clog your
pores. Think about this before applying sunscreen, moisturizer and
foundations.
Acne Skin Tip 4
Wash your hair frequently. If you hair touches your face - eg. you
have a fringe, or your hair touches the sides of your face - your
natural hair oils could be contributing to your acne. So keep it clean,
and off your face if possible.
Acne Skin Tip 5
Wash your pillowcase often! When you sleep your face naturally
produces oils which goes into your pillow. Keep your face away from
these oils by making sure you wash your pillow case regularly -
especially if you have an oily face.
Acne Skin Tip 6
Got acne on your back? Then make sure you wash your pyjamas
frequently! Your back can produce oils that irritate your skin. If you
sleep without a shirt on, then make sure you also wash your bedsheets
regularly!
Acne Skin Tip 7
Drink lots of water, eat lots of oranges
Acne Skin Tip 8
Don't eat foods high in animal fats and oils
Acne Skin Tip 9
Wash your face with mild soap
Acne Skin Tip 10
If you are using acne products (eg. Proactive, Benzac), you need to
use the products for sometimes at least 12 weeks before anything happens. So keep applying and don't give up.
